The LHS football team traveled to Tavares on August 27th for an early season game at 7pm. It was a great win early win with LHS triumphing 54-18. The boys were so happy, as was Coach Allison. He is excited to see how the players have grown over the past few years and wants to see who has improved. Coach Allison is very proud of his boys this year and considers the team like a family. The football players have been working really hard all summer and after school to stay in shape and are determined to show thier improved skill. When asked if he was nervous because it was the first game of the season, Matt Rodriguez stated, "Yeah, I was. This sets the tone for the rest of the season and I can see it in other teammates' eyes too, this is what makes us or breaks us. For me this is my first year of high school football, so I don't know what to really expect but I'll give it my all for my teammates and my team, as they would for me."
